Alaska XP is a model of footwear for backcountry skiing. It's an updated and fulfilled version of an old Alaska that is very popular among fans of this sport.
When we designed the Alaska XP at Alpina, we always had in mind the older Alaska model, which are very popular on the market and have excellent technical specifications. We kept those and upgraded them further with Alaska XP. Now the shoe is better and more comfortable than ever. It has a newer design that works great for both - walking and skiing, as the design offers improved lateral control. The weight of the model is also astonishing - it weighs only 740g, which is 20% less than the older Alaska model! With it, every step is easy and skiing is more controlled.The key and the biggest difference from the older model is the Rottefella's sole, which is a new and innovative system of connecting the shoe to the binding.
